GlowUp Beauty and Wellness Technology Private Limited, an entity incorporated under the laws of India (“Glowup”) collects, processes and stores information including personally identifiable information including without limitation as identified in this Privacy Policy (“Personal Information”) for providing access and use of the Platform. This Privacy Policy provides a summary of the type of information collected by us, our use of that information and measures taken to safeguard that information, and should be read alongside. By submitting Personal Information through our Platform, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy and you voluntarily consent to the collection, use and disclosure of your Personal Information.

Capitalised terms not defined in this Privacy Policy shall have the meaning given to them in the Terms of Use.

Information collected for creation of account



You can browse our Platform without being a registered User or submitting any personally identifiable information. However, for accessing some of the features of our Platform, you may be required to (a) register as a User for availing Services, or (b) register as an Owner for offering Services. To register as a User or an Owner, you may be required to submit, without limitation, some or all of the following categories of personally identifiable information.

Information provided while using the Platform

  • Usage, viewing and technical data, including your cookies, device identifier or IP address for improving our Platform and providing access to certain features;

  • Other information provided for contacting support to help us address your queries;

  • Demographic and profile data for reviewing and suggesting Services and Stores, including gender, contact details, etc.;

  • ‘Anonymous Information’ derived from information and/or Personal Information, which is anonymised and/or pseudonymised so as to not directly or indirectly identify, and which cannot reasonably be used to identify, an individual User or Owner.

Use of Personal Information

In general, the Personal Information required to be provided by you / collected by us is used for the purposes of resolving your concerns, improving our Platform and your experience, and to help us serve your needs. We use Personal Information for such purposes, in the following ways:

  • To identify you as an Owner / User;

  • To enable access to the Services;

  • To register Stores on the Platform;

  • To improve administration of our Platform;

  • To notify you of bookings, deals, offers, and Services and Stores which you might be interested in;

  • To send newsletters, surveys, and promotional materials related to Services which you might be interested in;

  • For market analysis, research and statistics. You can opt-out of marketing communications and use of your data for these purposes by writing to us at the Grievance Redressal portal mentioned below;

  • To prevent, detect and investigate fraud or abuse, unlawful or prohibited activities, and to comply with requests from authorities under applicable laws.

We use this data to tailor your Platform experience, providing with content you might be interested in and to display content based on your preferences. You agree and accept that you shall be liable for transmission and collection of any Personal Information, including Personal Information of yourself, your employees (in case of Owners / Stores) and any other personally identifiable information not specified in this Privacy Policy.

How we protect your information

We are committed to protecting your Personal Information from unauthorised access and use.

  1. We protect and safeguard your Personal Information using globally accepted and commensurate levels of security measures including anonymisation, strict retention policies, and cybersecurity protections and audits. We use a variety of industry-standard security technologies and procedures to help protect your Personal Information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure, and periodically review the same. In the event of any breach of our security control measures resulting in unauthorised access to your information, we will endeavour to inform you of the extent of such breach, subject to applicable law. Personal Information shared by you is stored in secured databases and data storage systems with strict access limitations such as Amazon Web Services and other similar service providers. All data access requests are logged and monitored in accordance with any threat detection policies. Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. We do our best to protect your Personal Information, but we cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted to us – even if there is a special notice that a particular transmission (for example, credit card information) is encrypted. Any transmission is at your own risk. Once we have received your information (including Personal Information), we use strict procedures and security features to try to prevent unauthorised access.

  2. We request Owners and Users to ensure that the information or data provided to us is accurate or up-to-date. This is to ensure that we are able to contact you immediately for any support, Service-related notifications, data breach, or otherwise. We will not be responsible for any delay in the event of any inaccuracy in the information submitted to us.

  3. We may use third-party service providers to analyse online activities, such as visitor activity, preferences, and other tailor-made content. We may also engage with third-party service providers to carry out technical, logistical and other functions on our behalf for improving the Platform and for delivery of Services. We will ensure that these service providers meet our strict privacy guidelines and security standards.

  4. We may be required to disclose any information and/or Personal Information to governmental or judicial bodies or agencies or our regulators to comply with applicable laws. We will ensure that such disclosure is to the extent required under applicable laws.

  5. We may create ‘Anonymous Information’ records from Personal Information by excluding Personal Information. Such Anonymous Information will be used by us and disclosed to service providers or other trusted third-parties at our discretion, keeping in mind your privacy.

  6. Third party websites – We have no control over, do not review, and cannot be held responsible for any external websites, Stores, or other third-party links which you access through our Platform. Please be aware that the terms of this Privacy Policy do not apply to these websites, Stores, or other third-party links, or to any collection of information after you click on links to such websites, Stores, or other third-party links.

  7. Cookies – Cookies are pieces of information that a browser can record during and after visiting a website. We may use cookies for technical purposes such as to enable better navigation through our site, or to store user preferences for interacting with the site. If you turn off the option to have cookies stored on your browser, it will affect your experience on the Platform.

  8. Data and information transmitted over the internet is inherently not risk-free or unbreachable. Despite our efforts to protect your information, if unauthorized persons breach security control measures and illegally use such sensitive/personal data or information, we will not be held liable.

  9. We employ strict retention policies and endeavour to retain Personal Information only for such time as may be required to provide use and access of the Platform and Services. However, we may be required retain information for longer periods of time under applicable law.

  10. The Privacy Policy may be amended or modified from time to time. We will endeavour to inform you in case of any substantial changes to this Privacy Policy, however, we request you to review this Privacy Policy from time to time.

Your rights in the collection, storage, transfer and processing of Personal Information

Subject to the reasonability and nature of your requests, and restrictions under applicable law, you have the following rights:

  • to be provided with a copy of your Personal Information held by us;

  • to request the correction or deletion of your Personal Information held by us;

  • to request that we restrict the processing of your Personal Information (while we verify or investigate your concerns with this information, for example);

  • to object to the further processing of your Personal Information, including the right to object to marketing communications and analysis;

  • to request that your provided Personal Information be moved to a third party, and

  • to withdraw consent.
